Callum Norton accelerates to the top of Vic MX Junior Championships
Lorne's Callum Norton continued his winning ways after taking out both the overall wins in the Bridgestone 100/125cc 2-stroke A grade class and Honda 250cc A grade class at the second round of the M2R Helmets 2016 Victorian Junior Motocross Championships Presented by Honda Genuine Parts & Accessories at Warrnambool on April 9-10.

Callum, 15, also finished second overall behind Maffra-Sale‰Ûªs Cody Dyce in the Honda 250cc A grade class. ‰ÛÏI had a great weekend. On Saturday in the 100/125cc class, I went in with the lead. I got off to a good start in the first race, I made a couple of mistakes, and worked my way back up to third and finished strongly just behind the leaders,‰Û

Callum was also happy with his performance in the Honda 250cc A grade class. ‰ÛÏI had a really good day. In the first race, I got a really good start, made a mistake and was almost coming in last but made my way back up to fifth. In the next two races, I holeshotted both and won both of those races which was a good way to finish the day,‰Û

Speed runs in the Norton family with Callum's younger sister Layla Norton putting up a good result herself.

Continuing her impressive form against the boys in the 85/150cc 4-stroke Big Wheel C grade class after Round 2 of the VJMXC. She crossed the finish line first in Race 1, by beating Jordan Jackson by 2.606 seconds, at Warrnambool over the weekend. She finished in second-place for her remaining two races but incredibly now leads the class by 5 points over Jordan Brown.

‰ÛÏIn the first race I got the holeshot, but fell back to about fifth place, and a few riders fell off in front of me and I ended up first,‰Û
