Brett Metcalfe Happy To Be Back On Top In Canada

Posted:

The Monster Energy Thor Kawasaki team kicked off their 2015 season this past weekend as the CMRC Canadian Motocross series debuted in the team‰Ûªs hometown ‰ÛÒ Kamloops, British Columbia with the teams Australian rider Brett Metcalfe emerging with the MX1 round win and the red championship leaders plate.

After being unable to defend his title in 2014 when he was tasked to fill in for the injured Ryan Villopoto in America, the Australian was back and worked hard to ensure he‰Ûªd be able to add a second Canadian title to his collection.

Right from the start of the day, he made sure that there was no doubt who the rider to beat would be, as he qualified Number One. Even a tip over in moto one wouldn‰Ûªt derail his march to victory as he quickly worked his way into the lead to take the moto win.

In moto two, he led every lap to make it a clean sweep and the overall win. Metcalfe is happy to be back in Canada and to start things off with a great day.

‰ÛÏI‰Ûªm excited to be back up here." Metcalfe enthused. "The team and I have been working hard to get prepared and I‰Ûªm glad everything went so well today.

"I know all the tracks now so it makes things a lot easier, I‰Ûªm going to keep working hard and get back that Number One plate.‰Û
