Choice Motorsports KTM racer Brenden Harrison has given the opening round of the 2013 AMH Queensland Supercross Championship a big thumbs up after taking victory in the Pro Lites class.

Harrison was one of a number national class riders to race the event promoted by Robbie Marshall held at Marshall's parents property in Dundas Queensland on the 3rd of November and couldn't be happier with his final result and to see state level SX racing back in his home state.

"My results were good on the weekend, I did struggle a bit all day and there were some fast kids there." Harrison admitted. "I did get the win in the main which was what really counted.

"To have guys like Nick Sutherland and Taylor Potter there was good and to have some good riders come out and support Queensland supercross was great to see. The more riders we get to these events the better it is," the KTM 250 two stroke pilot added.

"Overall the event was one of the best weekends racing I have been to. It ran smoothly, everyone was friendly, the track was good, there was heaps of riding, everything was great.

"The day had a very relaxed atmosphere, we had two long practices, two decent heats and then a all powers shoot out with the top 20 riders doing one lap sprint races against each other which was super fun," Harrison continued.

"Though the track was pretty basic, it was still fun and safe for all riders and there was different sections you could do if you wanted to push. You could really race the track and there was some good places to pass, everything was just really good."

With the opening round of the Qld supercross over, Harrison immediately turned his attention to the second of the state based series being held this Saturday the 10th of November at the Haworth property in Leyburn Queensland, before taking aim at the final round of the Australian Supercross Championship the following weekend to complete his 2013 season.

"The track we are racing this weekend is again really safe, but there are heaps of different options you can do in the jump sections, it is a massive layout and it is one of the best supercross tracks that I have ever ridden." Harrison explained after riding the track early this week.

"I can't wait to get the next two weekends out of the way and then keep building into next year, I just want to go out and race my dirt bike and keep a smile on my face, that is the main goal!" Harrison concluded.
