Cheyne Boyd and Jake Moss have made it a Yamaha double in the Pro Open and Pro Lite class respectively at the final round of the Nokia MX Nationals at Coolum on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Motorex KTM's Todd Waters took the overall win in the Under 19's class but fell 2 points short of the championship title. "It was great to win after last weekend but also after so long out due to injury," Boyd said. "It‰Ûªs great to finish on a high. My leg is far from healed though so it will be great to be able to give that a rest. As for what‰Ûªs next, I‰Ûªll head to the United States in the off season to get racing practice in." The CDR/Nokia/Yamaha backed rider notched up a 5th and 2nd in the thick black sand at Coolumn to out-point Shift Motul Suzuki's Daryl Hurley by 2 points. Hurley proved that riding with a damaged collar bone was well worth it as the Kiwi's second on the day saw him seal second overall for the series as well. ‰ÛÏMy shoulder felt OK," Hurley told. "I‰Ûªm not taking painkillers this weekend for the first time since I broke it so that‰Ûªs a good sign. I‰Ûªve been riding conservatively as my racing fitness has suffered. I haven‰Ûªt been spending any time on the bike in between races in order to reduce the chances of crashing and further injuring my shoulder. I just wanted to ride well this weekend and try to finish in the top 3. The most important thing to me was not to give up‰Û
