Blake ‘Bilko’ Williams stays with Honda

Posted:

Honda Australia is a big supporter of freestyle and mini motocross these days. As a result, the manufacturer has been able to sign some of the hottest names in the country, including Blake 'Bilko' Williams. Bilko will with Honda once again in 2006, and after a very hectic year of demo's and competitions, is thrilled to have the partnership in place. "Over the past five years before I signed with Honda, I was changing bikes a lot so it is awesome to be on the same machine again for next year. From the moment I started riding my CRF250, I felt right at home. Honda continues to give me a lot of support which is really helpful when I have so many different events to go to and my schedule is only getting busier," said the 20 year old Victorian. For the last couple of months, Bilko has been flat out on both his Honda CRF50 and CRF250 including attending the Snow Moto-X in Falls Creek, followed up immediately by the Adelaide Supercross Masters and Jump Mania Monster Truck Show. He then travelled to Sydney for round two of the Mr MiniCross and SX Masters at the Superdome, followed by the Australian Mini 4-stroke Nationals and Motorcycle Expo in Melbourne. "After the expo, I was on a plane Monday morning for the Texas Mini Moto Outdoor Nationals, which unfortunately was cancelled because of the hurricane. But I was fortunate enough to stay with Travis Pastrana before flying home for the Melbourne Supercross which is the last one for me this year. I've also just done a freestyle demo for an agricultural show in Kerang, and now I'm practising for the upcoming Crusty Demons Outback Attack Tour." In 2006, Bilko intends to participate in a wide range of events including all of the same shows as this year such as Supercross Masters and Jump Mania, as well as the Victorian Supercross titles, and Crusty Demons Aussie and New Zealand Tours with the crew tentatively planning to tour India as well. Bilko will also compete once again in the Las Vegas Mini Moto Supercross where he finished an impressive third this year.
