Berg Boys Ready To Go In Sunny Queensland

Posted:

Husaberg Enduro Racing Team riders Jarrod Bewley and Geoff Braico are hoping to raid the chocolates this Easter as the weekend‰Ûªs Australian off Road Championship double-header unfolds at Boyland in Queensland.

In the team‰Ûªs final year as a distributor-backed entity in Australia the Husaberg boys come into the Easter weekend ready to fight, with FE501-mounted Jarrod Bewley sitting just two points away from the E3 championship lead currently held by Husqvarna's Glenn Kearney.

In the testing conditions of Bulahdelah‰Ûªs AORC opener last month, Bewley recovered from a crash and a third in class on day one, to an E3 victory and third outright on day two, and now the Oberon rider is looking to continue that momentum.

‰ÛÏI'm in good nick and ready to go." Bewley enthused. "I‰Ûªve been training pretty hard on and off the bike and done some more testing between the last round in this so we‰Ûªll try to carry over the form we finished with last time and just try to have fun with it.

"I have ridden here before at the start of 2012 but it was pretty swampy then. I do remember it was pretty rocky though, and the conditions were good. If I ride the way I know I can ride, the results should come with it."
In his return to the premier E2 class, team mate Geoff Braico has gotten away to a sixth place start on the FE350. Despite the form riders and hefty reputations that lie between him and the front of the pack, there is no doubt he intends to use the weekend‰Ûªs round to ascend the pecking order.

‰ÛÏI am looking forward to this, I'm hearing conditions are pretty good." Braico admitted. "After Bulahdelah I needed to get back into the swing of things and refocus and I've been trying a bit more solid riding with Jarrod and a few others and I‰Ûªm feeling pretty good.

"I've ridden around the area before and it's quite nice, and after the recent rain they've had it should be good. I haven't done a proper enduro since the Six-Day so I'm pretty excited to get in there and walk some tests. It should be fun."
