Benelli BN 302

Posted:

In 2015 Benelli will be introducing a number of new motorcycles and updates across the range. These new models reflect the heritage of the marque with distinctive designs and colours, for which the Italian company has become world renowned.

The new BN 302 is built with passion for riders of all kinds, from beginners to the experienced, who want to embrace smaller engine two wheel motoring at its purest form.

Italian in design and aggressive in looks, the BN 302 rewards the rider with excellent control thanks to Benelli suspension, smooth clutch control, sporty four valve DOHC inline two cylinder engine and comfortable ergonomic layout. The easy handling and confident braking, makes this the perfect bike for a daily commute, zipping through the city and out of town touring rides.

Behind the great looks is a punchy in-line two cylinder 4-stroke 4-valve DOHC Benelli engine, producing 28kW (38 hp) at 12,000 rpm and 27 Nm (2.75 kgm) at 9000 rpm. Feeding this engine is the Delphi MT-05 fuel injection system which is also used in the BN 600 range. This engine is then mated to a 6 speed gearbox that delivers a smooth change every time.

The BN 302‰ЫЄs inspiring agility is down to improved technology in the design of it's rigid steel trestle frame and suspension setup. Up front the bike has Мь 41 mm inverted forks with adjustable rebound and on the rear swing arm, a mono shock absorber soaks up the bumps with adjustable preload and rebound. In addition the aluminium alloy wheels come fitted with Pirelli tyres in 120/70-17 front and a 160/60-17 rear making the light and nimble BN 302 a motorcycle that gives the rider immediate confidence when negotiating traffic or sweeping through corners.

For maximum braking performance the BN 302 is equipped with twin Мь 260 mm discs matched to twin 4 piston calipers at the front and a single Мь 240 mm disc with a 2 piston caliper brake for the rear.

The BN 302 will offered in colours white, black, orange and Benelli Green with the option of two frame colours, black or red. It will go on sale in January 2015 and is expected to retail under $5,500 (excluding on road costs) including a 2 year unlimited kilometre warranty, making this exceptional value for money. The motorcycle is also learner approved (LAMS).
