BCperformance Motogo Kyle Buckley Closes In On Title Lead

Posted:

BCperformance Motogo Ninja 300 trio of riders; Kyle Buckley, Phil Burke and Di Jones all battled through the freezing cold temperatures at Winton over the weekend whilst each of them also had their own complications to overcome.

Following a heavy crash at the previous round at Queensland Raceway BCperformance Motogo Ninja 300 rider Kyle Buckley spent the weeks leading up to Winton recovering from a dislocated shoulder and keeping his fitness on track.

Having never ridden the circuit before and only having had a small chance to test leading up to the event, Winton was going to be a little tough for the Queenslander.

Friday‰Ûªs single qualifying session was held in soaking wet conditions and Buckley brought the little Ninja 300 home in a safe 12th which was to be the starting position for the first of Saturdays YMF Loan Nationals.

After the torrid conditions the day before, the sun was out but the chill was still in the air as the races got under way.

Buckley claimed 4th, 2nd and 3rd place finishes and the 3rd fastest time to give him 3rd on the grid for Sundays Swann Series. Held in the same conditions Buckley rode with his head to bring his Ninja 300 home in 2nd, 2nd and 3rd to close the gap to the title leader to just 1 point.

‰ÛÏI was pleased with my weekend as it went to plan; stay onboard and collect valuable championship points after my big off at QLD." Buckley said. "A few small hiccups made the weekend a little tricky but overall the weekend was a success.

‰ÛÏI Can‰Ûªt thank the team enough, they have put me on a good bike all year and kept me up the front, also thanks to the sponsors and I cannot wait to be fully fit and go back to Wakefield.‰Û
