BCP Honda rider Kurt Waterman wins Maitland Super X Development Class

Posted:

BCP Honda rider Kurt Waterman has dominated proceedings at last weekends Maitland Round of the Monster Energy Super X Series in the Junior Development class.

The South Australian young gun took the win ahead Honda Junior Development rider Hayden Mellross in second place and another BCP supported junior Billy Jackson in third.

After scoring the first podium of his young career one week prior in Campbelltown, Waterman was ecstatic to finish on the top step of the box at Maitland and in doing so carry some real momentum into this weekend's final round at Ipswich.

"I was happy last weekend but it doesn't even compare to this," said Waterman.

"We've been working really hard and to come away with a win means so much. I'll definitely be trying for two in a row this weekend."

Kurt Waterman scored the first big break of his young career in 2010 when he won the Final Showdown of the Honda Grom's on the Gas National competition and in doing so earning himself much needed sponsorship from Honda, Fox, Silkolene, Oakley and BCP coaching.

The talented South Australian has won numerous races throughout 2011 including rounds of the Victorian and South Australian MX Championships and can now proudly add Round 4 of the Monster Energy Super X series to his impressive resume'.

The final round of the Monster Energy Super X series will be conducted this weekend in Ipswich at the North Ipswich Stadium.
