Signing off his 2015 racing season by representing Australia aboard his factory Husqvarna race bike, Todd Waters brought an end to his 2015 season at the FIM Motocross of Nations at Ernee, France overnight
The biggest motocross race of the year once again proved to be an incredible sporting occasion with a capacity crowd filling the French hillside circuit.
For Red Bull IceOne Husqvarna Factory Racing‰Ûªs Todd Waters the day proved to be a tough tough one at Ernee. Waters who ultimately came away with the top results for his Australian team, finishing 13th and 12th, he was left to lament bad starts in each race that held him back from finishing higher.
At the end of the day Waters and Team Australia were in a position to strike for the final spot on the podium before some of the tough luck that haunted the team all day kicked in with the team being relegated back to 7th by the end of the final moto.
‰ÛÏThe Motocross of Nations is such an amazing event, but from a team point of view things can change fast." Waters commented at the conclusion of the day's racing "That‰Ûªs what happened to the Australian team in the last moto.
"But it‰Ûªs always an awesome atmosphere, and this year was really something special.
"For me it was tough. If you get a good start and run near the front it‰Ûªs amazing, but I didn‰Ûªt get great starts and wasn‰Ûªt in the action. When a rider falls right in front of you and you get taken down, like happened to me in the first moto, things are over before they‰Ûªve begun.
"It‰Ûªs unfortunate, but as we all know it can happen in racing.‰Û
