Axis Motorsports ready to race at home track

Posted:

If there was every a race that Team 07 Axis Motorsports were to put in something extra to assert authority it would be this weekend at MX Central at round five of the 2010 Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals.

Months prior to the 2010 Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals kicked off Axis Motorsports spent countless hours testing Engine and Suspension combos and it used MX Central (formerly Barleigh Ranch) as its testing ground due to it being so close to the Shop.

Both Michael Addison and Dylan Peterson have put in countless laps at MX Central and are very familiar with how the track can change and where to find the fastest lines.

Peterson is going into the next round with his confidence at an all time high. He has his first Moto win for this season after dominating the under19's class by a whopping 11 seconds in Moto 1 at the previous round at Toowoomba, QLD.

Dylan sits equal third in the championship and still beleives there are enough races and points on offer to challenge for the championship lead before the season is out.

Pro Lite rider Michael Addison has not had the smoothest of starts to his season - Literally. Poor starts have forced the West Australian to stuggle through the pack to chase down the leaders, and in doing so passes had to be quick and calculated. Unfortunatlely coming through the pack does not always go smoothly, costing Michael dearly in the championship.

Michael has taken a 'back to basics' approach and even calling on Lee Hogan to go over his starting routine.

"I know my speed is there. I spent the beginning of the year in US and was right where I needed to be to win," Addison said.

The fifth round of the 2010 Rockstar Energy Drink MX Nationals will take place on Sunday 30 May at MX Central Raymond Terrace, (near Newcastle NSW). Admission is $30 for adults, $15 for children, $70 for families.
