Australian Jay Wilson to race MX2 with i-Fly JK Yamaha in 2017
The i-Fly JK Yamaha Racing Team have announced that 2015 Australian and 2015 New Zealand MX2 Champion Jay Wilson will join forces with the team in the MX2 category for the 2017 race season, committing to the full MXGP World Championship and the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship.

22-year-old Wilson, who is currently competing in the UK Arenacross series for the i-Fly JK Yamaha Team was recently offered the opportunity to fill the vacant MX2 position for the 2017 race season, and given his previous achievements with Yamaha, Wilson was the perfect fit when searching for the team‰Ûªs second rider.

Wilson, who‰Ûªs lifelong goal has been to race the World Championship, says that he‰Ûªs pinching himself that his dream has come to fruition, and is looking forward to lining up at the MXGP for the very first time when the series commences in Qatar on February 25.

‰ÛÏI can‰Ûªt really believe that I‰Ûªm finally going to be racing the MXGP‰Ûªs with a manufacturer that I‰Ûªve had so much success with in the past. I‰Ûªve definitely been pinching myself the last few days that‰Ûªs for sure,‰Û

‰ÛÏIt‰Ûªs been a busy couple of weeks putting the deal together with Jay at the last minute, but we believe he is a perfect fit for our team, and we are looking forward to the season,‰Û
