Australia‰Ûªs First Ever Stand-Alone Competitive Vintage Enduro Announced

Posted:

In an exciting first, the Vintage Enduro Riders incorporated (VERi) have announced the first Australian standalone national multi-day competitive Vintage Enduro, the Australian Three-Day Vintage Enduro (A3VE).

After the success of the introduction of the Vintage Enduro class at the 2016 FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE), the class was introduced for the first time at the 2018 Australian Four Day Enduro (A4DE) in Cessnock, New South Wales. Based to the success of the A4DE and the response received for the inclusion of the Vintage Enduro class, the VERi club have established an Australian first, creating a new standalone event for these historic bikes!

Running from May 23-26 deep in the picturesque Wombat State Forest, located in Blackwood, Victoria, the A3VE will specifically cater to all pre-1988 motorcycles, with all aspects of the event designed for suitability toward older bikes and riders. With four individual loops that tend to the capacities of historic motorcycles, each spanning 50-60 kilometres in length, the A3VE is an exciting step forward in supporting classic vintage bikes!

Over the course of the A3VE, competitors will navigate two separate laps on Day 1, three on Day 2, and close off the event with two separate laps and a final Motocross test on Day 3. Riders and fans alike will also be treated to an Interstate Trophy Team Challenge and a Club Team Challenge, where the best Vintage Enduro competitors from across Australia will fight for that coveted top podium position!

The competitive classes available to compete in the 2019 A3VE include:
V1 pre-1976
V2 pre-1980*
V3 pre-1984*
V4 pre-1988*
*Please note that V2, V3 and V4 also includes under 45 and over 45 divisions.

For those seeking to partake on a non-competitive basis, a Rally class is also available where no timed special tests will be included.

Supplementary Regulations and entries are now available to download here.
