Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki‰Ûªs Austin Forkner will aim to defend his Eastern Regional Championship points lead at the penultimate round of the 2019 Monster Energy Supercross championship taking place this weekend at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Forkner who suffered a knee injury during qualifying at Nashville, that left him unable to compete in the nights racing, has been rehabbing with therapy going well and is looking to line up on Saturday.
While Forkner‰Ûªs injury kept him from racing in Nashville, the dominant performances he‰Ûªs put in so far this season afforded him a big enough separation over his rivals that he still sits five points ahead in the championship standings heading into the final two races of the season.
After putting in the work at physical therapy, Forkner has made positive strides in his recovery to feel confident enough to line up on Saturday.
