Arbon and Lamont Ready To Take Up The Challenge At Raymond Tce

Posted:

Husqvarna‰Ûªs squad of factory and support riders will look hungrily toward to this weekend‰Ûªs resumption of the Monster Energy MX Nationals as a chance to further recent gains or makeup for uncharacteristic recent jitters.

Living up to the ‰Û÷Pioneers of Motocross‰Ûª tag, Husqvarna‰Ûªs riders have been hard to miss in 2014, wrestling for the championship lead in two of the three major classes ‰ÛÒ MXD and MX2 - and the goal at Raymond Terrace circuit in New South Wales will be no different.

The super-quick Husqvarna TC 250 riders Luke Arbon and Kayne Lamont have between them won almost half the races in the championship to date, and while currently 3rd and 7th, both are hungry for more of that winning feeling.

"I‰Ûªm pretty pumped to get racing again after a good couple of weeks." SD3 Husqvarna privateer Arbon stated. "I always enjoy it there, the track gets some nice ruts and stuff form up so I‰Ûªm looking forward to it.

"I‰Ûªve been taking each race as it comes. I just want to win races and be up the front. I‰Ûªm not too worried about the championship ‰ÛÒ I had a bit of misfortune last round, but I‰Ûªll just let it take care of itself and whatever happens, happens.

"It‰Ûªs been cool to be running up front again and that‰Ûªs where I feel I belong. I enjoy being up there and I think I‰Ûªve won a race every round since Murray bridge so. I just really want to get the overall this weekend because‰Û_ that‰Ûªs the ultimate feeling."

Lamont is looking for repeat of his good form at the Raymond Tce in 2013 and also some starts, which have eluded him the past couple of rounds.

‰ÛÏI‰Ûªve been on the bike a fair bit and I‰Ûªm going home to practise some more starts tonight ‰ÛÒ because I need them!" Lamont stated. "I talked to Ando the other day and he said they‰Ûªve put a lot of dirt into it so it could be quite softish.

"Hopefully it ruts up like it did last year, because I went pretty well there last year.

"I‰Ûªve pushed the title situation away from me now and I‰Ûªll just focus on trying to take eight race wins to end the series and we‰Ûªll see what that brings. Try to go out with a bang!‰Û

Husqvarna‰Ûªs MXD championship contenders Egan Mastin and Nathan Crawford are both determined to rebound from their various Conondale hiccups, and resume their swashbuckling performances in the development series.

‰ÛÏBrock‰Ûªs coming off a top-five at the last round and will be coming here with some confidence." Husqvarna factory team manager Craig Anderson said. "At first he was just quick on the softer tracks, but then Conondale was really hard packed and he excelled there.

"Egan lives not too far from Raymond Terrace and he‰Ûªs done so much riding there over the years that I think this will be one of his stronger tracks. No Daniel McCoy for us this weekend. His back wasn‰Ûªt 100% and he has ended up stopping racing to try to be ready for the supercross season.‰Û
