Luke Arbon claimed his first National Under 19 overall win, with a 2 ‰ÛÒ 1 ‰ÛÒ 3 result at round 4 of the Australian MX Nationals in Toowoomba, Queensland two weeks ago and is looking to ad another to his name this weekend at Newcastle, NSW.

The South Australia continued his impressive speed, improving on a second overall place at round 3 in Canberra, finishing one better and landing on the top spot of the box. It was a day where 18 months of hard work finally came through, making absolutely clear, Luke belongs on the big stage!

At Toowoomba Luke was forced to work hard in the opening moto after an average start, but the 17-year-old fought back to finish second. He then followed it up by claiming the hole shot in moto 2 and instantly checked out, taking his first ever class moto win. In the third moto he rode smart, after an impressive start and settled into third place and cruised home to take the overall win on the day.

Arbon saying, ‰ÛÏToday was unreal and all the hard work paid off, but it‰Ûªs only the beginning."

‰ÛÏThanks to my team Kevin Crutcher, Troy Carroll and my mechanic Ryan for all their support and of course my family, especially my dad Greg who flies to every round, without these people it just doesn‰Ûªt happen," Arbon said.

Arbon now sits in third place in the Championship, even after dropping an abundance of points at round one after a massive crash that resulted in a trip to hospital. Luke now has the confidence and belief he needs and winning the Championship is well within reach. Luke‰Ûªs focus is on continuing his good form, working hard to keep himself at the front of the pack.

Arbon saying, ‰ÛÏIt‰Ûªs all about winning to gain some points back on leaders Josh Cashia and Ross Beaton. I‰Ûªve had my bad round and racing‰Ûªs tough. Anything can happen, I just have to keep working away at the lead and see what happens,"he concluded.

Arbon will be focused on the job at hand this weekend, looking to maintain the impressive results and get on the top of the box again at Raymond Terrace New South Wales.
