Another Consistent Outing For Motul Suzuki’s Rhys Carter In Victoria

Posted:

Team Motul Suzuki teammate Rhys Carter again displayed consistency beyond his experience, the MX1 rookie charging to sixth overall with a 6-8 scorecard for the round.

Carter proved to be someone what of a surprise packet at the opening round of the 2014 championship when he raced to great fifth place overall result at Broadford.

While things did not go exactly like he was planning at round two in Appin, he was able to still finish a very solid 8th for the round.

With a third straight top ten overall result on the weekend, Carter now sits seventh in the standings after three of 10 rounds.

"I've been really consistent, which is positive, but in the first race I should have made the pass and been fifth," Carter reflected. "In the second moto I got a good start finally, but made a few mistakes and tightened up.

"I couldn't put a charge on, kind of went backwards so that was disappointing. In saying that, I know where I can and should be, so it's a matter of working on my intencity and moving forward from here," the New Zealander concluded.

The MX Nationals, Australian Motocross Championship, will now take a two-week break before resuming at Murray Bridge in South Australia on Sunday, 18 May.
