A small presentation is set to take place at the National Motor Museum in SA at midday on Saturday, May 17th, with Andy Caldecott’s VMX Multi Championship-winning 1974 Suzuki TM 400L going on display.
The Suzuki will replace Andy’s factory Repsol 710 KTM, recently sold to avid collector Craig Baills. It currently sits alongside Dave Schwarz’s and Andy’s 2005 Dakar Motorex 450 and 660 Rallye bikes.
Motorex teammate, Lobethal local Dave Schwarz, will also be on hand to help start both Motorex Dakar bikes, giving them a run to ensure they don’t seize.
The two Motorex bikes, already on display in the front foyer, will welcome the extra yellow company. Families will also have the chance to enjoy another chapter in racing history.
For Tracey and the family, it’s an opportunity for all motorsport enthusiasts to view and enjoy a significant piece of Australian Safari and Dakar history through Andy Caldecott’s VMX Championship Suzuki.
All are welcome to join us on Saturday to hear the big Dakar bikes. This event also ties in with Round 4 of the Australian MX Nationals at Murray Bridge on Sunday, May 18th.
The bikes are in safe hands at the National Motor Museum. For more details, CLICK HERE
