All Three Australian ISDE Teams Looking Good After Day One In Italy
All three Australian Trophy teams faired well at the opening day of the 2013 International Six Day Enduro being held in Italy, with the Trophy team in 3rd, the Junior Trophy team in 5th and the our Women leading their class.

Daniel Milner lead the way for the Australian's finishing the day as the outright individual race leader winning two stages on his was to helping the Australian Trophy team to third place at the conclusion of day one.

In fact Australian riders won the first three stages of this years event with Milner winning the opening two special tests and was followed home by Matthew Phillips in the second special test, before Phillips himself won the third test.

Things then went south for Phillips with a big crash leaving in need of medical attention at the end of the day, though the Tasmanian will be back in action for day two.

The Australian's are currently 1 minute and 27 seconds behind pace setters France, while the U.S.A sits in second position only 2 seconds in front of the Aussies. Team Italy are also well in contention just under two second behind the Australian team.

In the Junior Trophy class it was Lachlan Stanford who lead the Australian team to 5th position at the end of day one.

Team France once again lead the way in the Junior Trophy standings for riders under the age of 23, with a narrow three second lead over Italy while the U.S.A are a further 30 second behind.

Great Britain sit in 4th position just over 1 minute ahead of the Aussies.

Australian dominated the opening day of the Women's Trophy with Tayla Jones and Jessica Gardiner finishing 1st and 2nd in class to give the team a 1 minute 20 second lead over team Sweden. Australia's third rider Jemma Wilson was also on pace finishing 6th in class for the day.

Last years Women's champions France, currently sit in third position, over five minutes behind the Aussies.

In the individual classes French rider Jeremy Joly leads the E1 class, with Glen Kearney the top ranked Australian in 5th position. Junior Trophy team member Thomas McCormack sits in 15th.

Daniel Milner leads the E2 class from Italian Alex Salvini and French rider Johnny Aubert. Josh Strang currently sits in 7th followed by Joshua Green 13th, Lachlan Stanford 19th, Scott Kegan 22nd, Ben Burrell 31st and Matthew Phillips in 36th despite his crash.

French rider Antoine Meo currently leads the E3 class from Deny Philippaerts from Italy with Australia's only E3 representitive, Chris Hollis in thrid.

As mentioned above Australian riders hold down the top two positions in the Women's class with Tayla Jones leading the way from Jessica Gardiner by nine seconds, with Sweedish riders Jessica Jonsson and Australian based Emelie Karlsson in third and fourth respectivley.
