AFMX (Australasian Freestyle Motocross) Tour announced

Posted:

Southern Cross Promotions (SCP), today announce the addition of a national freestyle competition that will accompany the Stadium Enduro X‰ã¢ series. The AFMX Tour will feature during the interval of each Stadium Enduro X‰ã¢ round and provide a competitive platform for Australia‰Ûªs freestyle riders to demonstrate their world-class talent. The AFMX Tour was born from the requests of leading Australian freestyle riders for a national freestyle series in which to compete. The Tour is a peer driven event that will give professional and amateur riders alike the opportunity to reveal their riding skills. The AFMX Tour is supported by leading Australian riders including Schuie, Bilko, Maddo, Sincs and Balchin and will have spectators enthralled as riders attempt to defy gravity. "The AFMX Tour is something me and the boys have been wanting for a long time", said Blake 'Bilko' Williams, Alpinestars Honda team rider. "If the Melbourne motorcycle expo was a taste of things to come, I can‰Ûªt wait to mix it with all the boys in the AFMX Tour". "Freestyle MX has stepped up a gear in the last two years and the tour will give all riders a goal to aim for, all us riders support it and we are sure that the crowds will too". At this stage final dates and venues are yet to be finalised along with the 2006 Australian motorcycle calendar. However, to assist all involved in preparing for the series SCP have provided an indication of locations and dates below.
