The opening round of the 2013 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship will air live around Australia via the ESPN channel on the Foxtel Network.

Feld Motorsports the promoters of the Monster Energy Supercross confirmed on Wednesday the 19th of December that on top of the American series being broadcast live across the United States, there would also be a live international television package for the first time being delivered though ESPN international.

ESPN Australia has confirmed to Fullnoise.com.au that not only will the first round from Anaheim be beamed live into our living rooms, clubs and pubs that have a subscription to ESPN, but they are also hoping to show a total of eleven rounds live, with the remaining rounds to be aired with a very short turnaround.

"I can confirm that we will be showing the full season of AMA Supercross," stated a representative from ESPN Australian via email.

"I do not have the entire schedule confirmed just yet but we are hoping to show 11 Live events with the rest on short turnaround. We will be showing the first event Live on January 6th, air times have not been released yet." they added

With established Australian riders of the likes of Chad Reed and Michale Byrne being joined by Daniel McCoy, Josh Cachia, Jackson Richardson and other Aussies at the opening round of the series, this information comes as some great news for all Australian supercross fans, who will now be able to watch Australia's best go head to head LIVE, with the likes of defending champion Ryan Villopoto, and previous champions Ryan Dungey, James Stewart and the rest of the worlds best SX riders.
