Victorian Matt Barton will take one step closer to his ultimate goal of becoming world champion after earning a wildcard entry into next month‰Ûªs 2015 Pramac Australian MotoGP at Phillip Island on October 16-18.
Matt, 19, from Ballan, 60 minutes outside of Melbourne, will compete in the Moto3 class against the best racers in the world.
The aspiring professional racer competes in the coveted Australian Superbike Championships, and is sitting third after previously leading the championship, with its last round also taking place at Phillip Island on October 2-4.
Matt was thrilled after hearing the news that he‰Ûªd earned a wildcard into Australia‰Ûªs biggest motorcycle race.
