A rejuvenated Josh Brookes looks forward to Cadwell Park

Posted:

HM Plant Honda's Josh Brookes has been back home in Australia since the last round of the MCE British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park and with just a few days now remaining until Cadwell Park he believes he will come back in an even stronger position to challenge for the victory on Sunday.

Brookes has yet to race at the demanding Lincolnshire circuit, but admits of all the circuits on the calendar this is the one he is most relishing the most. He expects his love for motocross will come to the fore as he launches at the Mountain section.

"I have been back home in Australia between rounds and I have been cramming in everything so I can make the most of the time I have here before coming back to the UK for Cadwell Park." Brookes explained.

"The week has been really good for me; I have caught up with family and friends back home and then have spent the rest of my time cycling, doing some motocross, jet skiing and working in the garage. This time between rounds back home in Australia has reset my mind again and I don't think I could have prepared any better for Cadwell Park as I have been able to do some really hard training.

"I am really going in to Cadwell Park feeling happy and on a bit of a high after spending time back home so mentally and physically I am stronger ahead of this round. We had a really good test at Oulton Park after the last round so we just need to do a bit of fine tuning and I think we are in a strong position to come out and have a good result.

"I am pretty excited about the whole Cadwell Park weekend, especially the Mountain as I have a good understanding on jumping from all the years I have done motocross, so I am ready to put on a good show for the fans. I definitely want to go out there and get back on the podium at least," he concluded.
