Overall Yamaha lead the way in terms of manufactures with 29.3% of the market share just ahead of Honda with 27%
In total 32,437 motorcycles were sold between January and September this year, incorporating both Road and Off-road sales which represents a 1.1% incread over the same time in 2014, however Off-Road sales have dropped by 6.6% over last year with a total of 24,474 Off-Road bikes sold.
Releasing the 2015 third quarter motorcycle sales figures, FCAI Chief Executive Tony Weber said Australians purchased 75,893 new motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and scooters between January and September 2015, down 2.5 per cent in comparison to the same period in 2014.
