Honda’s Africa Twin and Africa Twin Adventure Sports will receive small upgrades for 2022 with the brand releasing details of the upcoming models.
While the changes are small they offer improved refinements to an already quality product.
The 2022 Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin model gains a standard-fit rear carrier, new colours as well as new graphics.
One of our biggest problems with the 2021 Africa Twin Adventure Sports was the screen. While we found it did the job on-road, off-road we found it just simply got in the way, especially when it became dirty.
The 2022 model has addressed this and now has an 11cm shorter adjustable screen.
The Adventure Sport also gets updated Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT) settings. The DTC upgrade is aimed at refining settings in first and second gears. The update is aimed at improving handling at low speeds or when starting from a standstill.
All 2022 models, like most new models, also offer Bold New Graphics. The Africa Twin Adventure Sports will be available in Pearl Glare White Tricolour or Matte Ballistic Black Metallic, both with a new “Cracked Terrain” graphic and all-black aluminum side covers and rear carrier.
The regular CRF1100L Africa Twin will have a new “Big Logo” design and a choice of Pearl Glare White Tricolour, Grand Prix Red, or Matte Ballistic Black.
The 22YM Africa Twin range is expected to arrive in Australia in the last quarter of 2021. Pricing and availability will be available shortly.
