Entries close this Saturday night at 11.30pm for this years AJMX
With over 450 entries already being received for the 2019 Australian Junior Motocross Championship, time is has now ran out for riders to join Australia's biggest junior motocross event of the year with entries closing on the 31st of August at 11.30pm
Being hosted by South Australian club, Motocross Riders Association (MRA) located near Port Adelaide, and only 20 minutes from the city centre, this year's event is shaping up to another great showcase of Australia's future senior stars.
With five classes already attracting over 40 entries and the majority of the remaining classes getting close, there will be a full week of qualifying and final races to keep not only the riders entered entertain, but also local spectators who will be able to watch all the action free of charge.
The track itself was re-designed for this year's big event, with local riders along with a multitude of interstate racers taking the opportunity to test out the track across various training schools and open days over the past few months.
The new track layout at the MRA venue has been tried and tested by a large number of riders across numerous riding schools over the past few months.
This weekend will see a host of local and interstate riders converge on the Gilman complex for the second round of the MRA's club championship which itself can still be entered via Ridernet until 5.30pm on Friday evening.
Club President Anthony Slade can't wait for the AJMX to kick off in late September with the clubs volunteer committee spending countless hours in order to have the venue looking at its best for the week-long event.
"Entries have been rolling in nicely over the past couple of months and have really ramped up over the past few days, and it is great to see we have surpassed the 400 entry mark with still a few days left before entries close" Slade commented.
"Our committee has been working flat-out all year long to make this event the best it can be. We have an all-new track layout for this year, new wash bays have just been installed and thanks to our great committee along with some amazing help from club members and sponsors we have gone to town to have the place looking the best it has in years.
"There is still plenty to do in the final month before racing gets underway, but everything is well and truly on track, and we can't wait for Australia's best junior racers to battle it out here for national glory at Gilman," Slade concluded.
The 2018 AJMX in Tasmania was an epic event, don't miss out on your chance to race Australia's premier junior motocross event behind held in South Australia in just over a months time.
