2008 Motocross and Supercross number applications

Posted:

Application forms are now available for riders to fill in to retain their preferred riding number for the 2008 Australian Motocross and Supercross Championships. In accordance with the rules stated in the 2007 Manual of Motorcycle Sport (GCR 17.12.5 ‰ÛÒ Allocation of numbers), the allocation of numbers 1-20 will automatically be made to riders who finished in those positions in each of the 2007 championships. Those riders can however apply for a different number for the 2008 championships, and it is important for everyone to note that while this application is for number preferences for retention of 2007 numbers, there are no guarantees as to which number will be received. To put a number preference in, simply download and fill in the application form from the link at the bottom of this page and send the completed form back before 30 September to: Sarah Milroy
Motorcycling Australia
PO Box 134
South Melbourne, VIC, 3205
fax: (03) 9684 0555

From 1 October 2007, all remaining numbers will be available for all riders to use (with the exception of numbers 1-20). As well as the application form, you can view the allocated rider numbers for the top-20 riders from 2007, for both the Pro Open and Pro Lite classes. To view these allocations or to download the application form, visit: www.ma.org.au/ridernumbers
