The Monte Carlo Bay resort offered a great opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the main participants of the sport, who were more than ever the stars of the night. "Unfortunately we didn't have sunny weather in Monaco this time, but the most important thing is that the sun shines in this hotel with our best Off Road riders," said president Francesco Zerbi during the opening ceremony. "It's the first time in many years that we have had a celebration only for the Motocross and Supermoto champions, and for me this is a really important sign. It proves that both are now at a high level, and even if there is till some difficulties I would like that everyone look behind him and reminds how was the situation three or four years ago. "I want to thanks our partner Youthstream for the work already done, and I'm convinced that within a few years Motocross will be at the same level as the most famous Motorsport activities. And tonight I'm really happy that we can celebrate the main participants, the riders, who offered us exciting championships all over the year," added the FIM President.
