Motorcycling Australia (MA) and the Australian Sports Commission (ASC) are inviting Motocross/Supercross/Off Road riders aged 16 to 21 to apply for the 2008 Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) Development Training Camp for U21 riders.
The camp will take place at the AIS in Canberra over 10 days from 2–11 December 2008, and will include general sports science (i.e. nutrition, sports psychology, physiology, strength and conditioning etc.) as well as physical conditioning and motorcycling specific training where participants will receive personalised tuition from Australia’s leading coaches.
Participants will be required to personally supply and transport their own motorcycle(s) for use during the camp.
This camp follows an extremely successful AIS camp staged by MA in November 2007, and many of the participating riders have gone on to perform extremely well throughout the 2008 season - including Tye Simmonds and Luke George who won their respective 2008 Australian Motocross U19 & Pro Lites classes.
Applications close Friday 7 November 2008 and are available for download from the MA website: www.ma.org.au/2008aiscamp - no late applications will be considered.
Completed forms should be submitted either by post, fax or email to:
Asher Newton National Development Officer Motorcycling Australia PO Box 134 South Melbourne 3205 VIC Fax: (03) 9684 0555 Email: asher@ma.org.au
