This position was formerly held by Kevin Mortimer who is now moving on to other things after spending nearly 20 years of his time tirelessly fostering the development of Motocross in Queensland.

The 2009 program to be overseen by Rachael includes the Queensland Motocross Championship Series, the Thunder X Natural Terrain Motocross Series and the Sunshine State Motocross Series. Rachael will also be working alongside Luke Dillon, (Motorcycling Queensland’s Marketing Manager), to build upon the strong framework and profile that the sport currently enjoys. Ultimately the new look team is aiming to quickly implement new processes to improve the way that each series is both promoted and conducted in order to deliver a better MX experience to all involved.

Whilst Rachael’s face may not be familiar to many within the Motocross community, she is no stranger to motorcycle sport or to the duties of a Race Secretary. Rachael has worked for 12 years with the Motorcycle Sportsmen of Queensland as both the club’s Manager and as event Race Secretary for many of their track days and racing events. In addition to this, Rachael is an instructor for Motorcycling Queensland, sits on MQ’s Officials Review Board and can regularly be seen around such events as the Australian Moto GP, helping out in various capacities.
