Reports that Alloy MX motocross clothing would be closing it's doors have proved false.
The report centered around a press release that was issued to the motocross media late last week that appeared on some high profile industry forum's and large world motocross sites such as RacerX, Transworld Motocross and MX Large.
The release stated that Alloy would be closing it's doors due to numerous obstacles including an overcrowded apparel market and distribution challenges.
Alloy MX will in fact continue with a change of ownership. Neil Casberg, founder of Alloy MX, has purchased all shares from Motorsport Aftermarket Group, who purchased the company in 2004. Finalisation of the transaction is expected to take place on the 24th of March.
The three year old brand has actually taken a strong hold in the market place and is now regarded as one of the fastest growing brands.
Australian importer Ficeda Accessories are saying the future is as bright as ever for the label and that they expect to have regular supplies and are looking forward to the brands growth in Australia.
"We don't know where the press release saying the company was closing came from," said Australian brand manager Matt Murphy. "Investigations are still underway as to the source of the release."
"Alloy will continue to support various riders and no exisiting sponsorship arrangements will be effected," he added.
