Josh Cachia takes aims for podium performance at Wonthaggi

Josh Cachia will spearhead the JDR/KTM Factory Racing effort at Wonthaggi this coming weekend at round three of the Monster Energy MX Nationals.

Victorian Josh Cachia is so far the leading KTM contender in the MX2 ranks in fifth overall after two of 10 rounds, hoping to clinch his first podium of the season aboard the 250 SX-F in his home state come Sunday.

"It's always good for me to race in Victoria and my results usually seem to be good in my home state," Cachia commented. "I feel like my first podium of the year is coming soon and almost got it at round one, so hopefully this weekend goes to plan."

I'm definitely looking forward to getting out there and going racing." he concluded.

Teammate Ryan Marmont continues to gain 100 percent strength after sustaining a pre-season hand injury, on the verge of a breakthrough performance after gaining momentum at round two a fortnight ago. Marmont is currently ranked 10th in the standings.

Third JDR/KTM Factory Racing MX2 rider Brenden Harrison will again sit out this weekend at Wonthaggi, focusing on his recovery after undergoing surgery on an old injury prior to round one. Harrison's official return date has not yet been confirmed.

In the MX1 class it is Queensland's 2007 series champion Daniel Reardon who currently sitting 10th in the series standings. Reardon finished a season-best ninth at Coonabarabran a fortnight ago, gaining confidence with the performance ahead of Wonthaggi.
