Sunday saw the Seniors hit the track and once again we were greeted to a well prepared track and yet again the numbers were high for the Seniors and the gates were packed in B and C grade.

A grade Lites entertained the large crowed with some close and fast racing and Mick Higgins took first place with 2 race wins for the day. As always Brad Matheson was consistent and finished second closely followed by Ben Gardiner.

Matt Van Sloten was fast and won race 1 but a terrible second race saw him finish fifth overall for the day but he will be one to watch at Round 3.

A Grade open was as always fast and furious and Lee Ellis looked unbeatable and gapped the field in the first 2 races with 2 wins but a no points race in race 3 saw him finish third overall for the day and Chase Mosig taking the overall win followed in second by Ricky Davenport.

Ladies open class was won by Maddy Brown with 3 race wins followed by Courtney Whyte-Dennis in second followed closely by Kelly Forber in third. Kelly took a break from racing for a year and has come back looking like she didn't take a break at all and is riding fast.

The quads entertained the crowd with a few of the riders putting a show and getting some big cheers from the crowd. Michael Smythe got the biggest cheers with some handlebar head butting on a few of the jumps and a few good saves on landing his jumps.

Round 3 will held at Outtrim on Saturday 5th May and Sunday 6th May. Entries close Friday 27th April. See website for entry form and round info http://www.gippymx.com.au/
