Luke Gaisford Takes Round 1 Win in the ATV class at the Monster Energy MX Nationals

Luke Gaisford has won the first round of the Pro Quad MX Nationals at Coonabarabran over the weekend as the four wheeled Machines joined the Monster Energy MX Nationals tour for the first of two scheduled rounds.

The two rounds alongside the MX Nationals make up the three round Australian series with Australia's best riders making the trip to country NSW for the first round.

Gaisford who has trained long and hard over the off season put in a faultless display winning all three moto's on Saturday before backing up those results with the final race win on Sunday morning, giving the Western Australian rider a perfect 100 points for the round.

Gaisford enjoyed his long trip across the country and was glad to come away with the win on an unfamiliar track that he enjoyed racing on.

"We don't have tracks like this in WA so was great to come to NSW and ride on something completely different." stated Gaisford

"I enjoyed the flow of the track and think all our riders back home in WA would loved to have ridden here in Coonabarabran " he added.

Gaisford will now make the dash back to his home state to defend his Western Australian ATV title for third straight year, when he lines up for round one of the 2012 Smarter than Smoking WA State Championships being held at Coastal Park on April the 22nd.
