Honda Australia have signed on as naming right’s sponsor for one of Western Australia’s biggest enduro events of the year.
The “Honda Adventure Rally” will be hosted once again by the Trail & Enduro Motorcycle Club of Western Australia at Mornington Mills, near Harvey about 1-1/2 hours south of Perth.
The Rally traditionally attracts up to 400 participants, and is a non-competitive trail ride for all levels of riders.
In a first for the event, Honda will also be providing a grand prize giveaway of a brand new CRF230F to one lucky winner.
One of the event organisers, Baden Barker said the Club is looking forward to hosting their biggest rally yet on the weekend of May 24/25.
“Although this is the 22nd year of the event, this is the first time we have had the CRF230F to give away as the major prize so a big thank you to Honda for that.”
“There will also be plenty of other goodies for the entrants. We normally have a foot race to grab a Nolan helmet, and again this year we will give away a brand new Pilot air compressor valued at over $800. Each rider will also receive a commemorative tee shirt and badge,” Baden said.
This year, the event will include two loops of approximately 70 kms each, with a lunch break back at the start point.
The ride itself will take place on the Sunday with an optional riding workshop to also be presented on Saturday 24th May.
“The venue is the Police & Citizens Youth Club Adventure Camp located at Mornington Mills which is an old sawmilling town site,” Barker noted.
“The area has a lot of interesting history, and the ride passes predominantly along old rail forms and logging tracks used in the early 1900’s.”
Camping and food will be available at the venue.
